Once your content is approved, you're ready to publish. RogIQ supports publishing directly to WordPress, scheduling social posts across multiple platforms, and manually downloading content to publish wherever you need it.
Before You Publish
Content must be in Approved status before it can be published or scheduled. If a piece is still in Draft or In Review, finish the approval process first.
| Status needed | Action |
|---|---|
| Draft | Submit for review |
| In Review | Wait for approval (or approve it yourself if you have permission) |
| Approved ✓ | Ready to publish or schedule |
Publishing to WordPress
If your WordPress site is connected, you can publish blog posts directly from RogIQ.
- 1
Open the blog post
Go to Content → Blog Posts and open the approved post you want to publish.
- 2
Click Publish
Click the Publish button (or Publish to WordPress if multiple publishing destinations are available).
- 3
Confirm publish settings
Review the post title, slug, category, and featured image. Make any last-minute adjustments.
- 4
Click Confirm & Publish
RogIQ will send the post to WordPress. Once published, a link to the live post will appear in the content editor.
WordPress must be connected before this option appears. Go to Settings → Integrations → WordPress to connect your site.
What happens behind the scenes
When you publish to WordPress, RogIQ automatically:
Cleans up markdown and formatting for web rendering.
Syncs the SEO Meta Title and Meta Description to your WordPress Yoast/RankMath fields (if configured).
Uploads any inline images to your WordPress media library so they don't break later.
Generates schema markup and submits it with the post.
Scheduling Content
You don't have to publish immediately. Schedule any approved content to go live at a specific date and time.
- 1
Open the approved content item
Open the blog post or social post from your content list.
- 2
Click Schedule
Click the Schedule button instead of Publish.
- 3
Pick your date and time
Select the date and time you want the content to go live. All times are shown in your local timezone — RogIQ handles the UTC conversion automatically.
- 4
Confirm
Click Confirm Schedule. The post moves to Scheduled status and will publish automatically at the set time.
Need to change the time? Open the scheduled post and click Reschedule. The old schedule will be canceled and replaced with the new one — no risk of double-publishing.
Publishing Social Posts
Social posts publish through your connected social accounts (via NetSocial). You must have your social accounts connected before you can publish.
To connect social accounts: Go to Settings → Integrations → Social Accounts.
Publishing a social post
- 1
Open the social post
Go to Content → Social Posts and open the approved post.
- 2
Review platform captions
Check each platform's caption tab (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X). Make any final tweaks.
- 3
Publish now or schedule
Click Publish Now to post immediately, or Schedule to set a future time.
What RogIQ does automatically for social
Shortens links automatically for platforms with character limits (X/Twitter).
Selects the correct video or image per platform if you've uploaded multiple media files.
Normalizes formatting so hashtags, emojis, and line breaks render correctly on each platform.
Carousels: The cover slide is always placed first, regardless of the order you added the slides.
Viewing Published Content
Once published, a post's status changes to Published and a live link appears in the content editor. You can also see all published content in:
Content → Blog Posts (filter by "Published")
Content → Social Posts (filter by "Published")
Content → Calendar (published items show in dark blue)
Troubleshooting Publishing Issues
The Publish button isn't showing
The Publish button only appears for content in Approved status. If you don't see it, check that the post has been approved in the pipeline. If you're an Editor (not an Admin or Owner), you may not have publish permissions — contact your Admin.
My post published but the WordPress page isn't live
Check that your WordPress site isn't set to hold posts as Pending Review in WordPress itself. The RogIQ publish action sends the post as Published, but WordPress admin settings can override this.
The scheduled post didn't go live at the right time
Confirm the time zone shown in the scheduler matched your intent. RogIQ converts your local time to UTC — if you're in a different timezone than your usual working hours, double-check the displayed time before confirming. If the post is stuck in Scheduled status, contact support.
My social post failed to publish
This usually means your social account connection has expired. Go to Settings → Integrations → Social Accounts and click Reconnect on the affected platform. Then retry publishing from the content item.
How do I unpublish or delete a post?
Open the published content item and click Unpublish to retract it (it returns to Approved status). For WordPress posts, unpublishing in RogIQ will set the post to Draft in WordPress. To permanently delete, use the Delete option from the content item's action menu.
